Tours
Each year, the Notre Dame Chorale leaves South Bend to go on tour! On tour, we’re able to share the music we’ve been working on all year with audiences around the country and the world. Since 1997, tour has been an opportunity to sing together, fundraise, explore new places, and grow closer as a family.
The Chorale embarks on two types of tours: domestic tours and international tours. A domestic tour occurs every January to cities like New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco. Every four years, we also travel abroad for an international tour. In the past, the Chorale has traveled to countries such as New Zealand, Italy, and Ireland. Our most recent international tour was to Spain and Portugal!

International Tour
The Notre Dame Chorale embarks on an international tour every three to four years in May. Our first tour in 1997 featured stops in Rome, Orvieto, Spoleto, Assisi, Siena, Florence, Venice, and Padua. In 2000, we traveled to southern France, Switzerland, southern Germany, Austria, and northern Italy. In 2005, we toured New Zealand's south island to places such as Christ Church, Timaru, Dunedin, and Nelson—and we returned there again in 2008 for more! In 2011, we traveled to Rome with additional stops in Florence and Assisi. During this trip, we presented our music to the Pope at the General Audience, sang for Saturday Mass in St. Peter's Basilica, and performed full concerts in the Basilica San Francesco in Assisi and in Sant' Ignazio in Rome. In 2014, we traveled to Prague, Salzburg, and Vienna—the "City of Music" where musicians such as Beethoven, Mozart, and Schubert famously lived and worked. In 2018, we visited Ireland to tour Belfast, Giant’s Causeway, Derry, Westport, Galway, Cliffs of Moher, and Dublin. During our last tour in 2023, we visited Spain and Portugal. Our next anticipated international tour is in 2027.
